This website is dedicated to the study of how nuclear disasters have been and are being responded to both in the United States and in Japan. Based on our experiences, our recommendation is that in seismically active areas like Japan, it is innately irresponsible and unsafe to operate nuclear power plants; however it is a viable and comparatively safe alternative to fossil fuels in parts of the United States.

This website is meant to serve as an interactive guide through the TMI and Fukushima nuclear accidents, our findings about their effects and our opinions on the continued operation of power plants in the United States and Japan. You can start by learning about how nuclear disasters happen and proceed through the site by looking at each disaster in detail, reading about our interviews with victims of the disasters and finishing up with our discussion of our findings, or you can view each page according to your own interests.
