Montserrat is unlike any other place in the world. Its people are unique, resourceful, and proud. Despite the trials and tribulations of the past ten years, Montserratians protect and preserve their traditions and unique qualities. To these people, Montserrat is still home, still nice.

Owner of bar in Little Bay:
“…I love Montserrat. I don’t want to make some and have a go with it. I have a foundation in Montserrat. This is my country, and I want my daughters to have a foundation here.”

A middle-aged male photographer and store owner:
“…I mean everything I think remains the same. I mean, the community is still closely knit, everybody knows everybody and nothing changes really except or the south side of the island that’s destroyed, but the people are still the same people…”

A middle-aged female radio personality:
“And this is what we said to everybody, ‘come home’.”
