Professor C. Helen Takacs\"IMG_2619\"<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

C. Helen Takacs’ doctoral work was in the areas of strategic management and international business. She has two active areas of research, innovation management and corporate social responsibility. She is especially interested in the connections between corporate social responsibility and foreign direct investment.<\/p>\n

Prof. Takacs received her B.A. from Bowdoin College, her M.B.A from\u00a0Cleveland State University, and her Ph.D. from\u00a0Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.<\/p>\n

Professor Anat Alon-Beck\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Alon-Beck<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Anat Alon-Beck joined the Department of International Business and Management at Dickinson College in Spring 2012, as an Adjunct Professor. According to Prof. Beck, \u201c[I]t is a great honor and a privilege to serve as one of the faculty members of the Eco-E Path Mosaic, and to teach the \u2018Education for Entrepreneurs\u2019 course.\u201d<\/p>\n

The course presents a strategic framework with an emphasis on legal considerations for the establishment and management of start-ups and emerging growth companies.\u00a0 The entrepreneurial spirit is evident in all who envision opportunity where others see only challenges, develop innovative approaches for these opportunities, and marshal sufficient resources to successfully act on the opportunity.<\/p>\n

Students in the course encounter on-the-job learning and real-world entrepreneurial experience while working on the Dickinson Farm Consulting Firm Project.<\/p>\n

Prof. Beck is a lawyer with international experience in the area of entrepreneurship, having passed the Israel bar exam in 2005 and the New York State bar exam in 2007.\u00a0 She is currently completing her J.S.D. at Cornell Law School.<\/p>\n

Professor Emily Pawley\"pawleye\"<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Emily Pawley teaches Environmental History, History of Capitalism, History of the Body, History of Food and Food Production, and History of Science.<\/p>\n

Prof. Pawley received her B.A. from the\u00a0University of Toronto, a M.Phil. from\u00a0Cambridge University, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the\u00a0University of Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
