When de ash come
\nE come dum fars
\nHow you mek out in you class?

Me hear Miss Lee come in de class
\nShe bawl till she could scarcely talk
\n“M-a-a-m a-s-h a-a- f-a-l-l
\nShe just a bawl and bawl and bawl<\/p>\n

Perilous Times<\/strong>

It all began on July 18
\nThe volcano started to vent
\nSending ash and steam high in the air
\nOn August Monday there was a big explosion
\nRocks from God’s slingshot seen in Long Ground
\nThe Chief Minister called for evacuation
\nThis evacuation brought more frustration
\nI went to Olveston
\nSome went to Woodlands and St. Peter’s
\nOthers went to St. John’s and Salem
\nPeople crowded the North
\nSome people stayed with their families
\nOther stayed with friends
\nSchools and churches were home for many
\nWe are at home now
\nBut we still live in fear
\nWhen, when is the end near?<\/p>\n

Volcanic Dangers<\/strong>

I have often heard our volcano’s dead
\nBut that’s not a true thing that was said
\nVolcanoes are very dangerous
\nSometimes they are outrageous
\nVolcanoes are not to trust
\nThey let off alot of dust
\nVolcanis activities are very frustratine
\nEspecially when evacuating
\nAnd if it happens that it blows
\nPoisonous gases get into your nose
\nThe rumbling of the volcano is hard
\nIt makes you want to run out of your yard
\nThe rumbling is very, very noisy
\nIt wants to drive you crazy
\nThey lava can kill and destroy
\nMan, Woman, Girl and Boy
\nIt melts big things and small
\nIt also melts short things and tall
\nWhen the Soufriere hills are quiet once more
\nDon’t say volcanoes are dead, that’s a lie for sure.<\/p>\n
