thoughts…
on teachers… The only teacher that I like is my teacher now… cause she is nice and we get candy. Like this Easter, we had a party in our classroom, even though it is on the weekend. We had a party and um she… bought everything. She bought cake, chicken, pizza and I can’t name the rest.
on dogs… [I like] my dog… Well, I don’t like her now cause she is having puppies… My mom says she don’t want no more dogs, and I say I don’t want to get rid of them and then she says we have to get rid of them and we can only keep only two or three.
on the school… The school is real old, and, um, I like the, um, to play in the gym.
on the future… I want to be a doctor and work in an emergency room and I want to be a scientist, but I can’t do both at the same time.
Kiersten…Laurence kept moving.

Kiersten…Yeah, it got some of the car too.
Q…So are you and Laurence good friends?
Kiersten…Yes.
Q…How did you guys meet?
Kiersten…Um, uh, the first time I met him it was [at the Boys and Girls Club].
Q…Tell me about this church.
Kiersten…I like going to church.
Q…You do? Why?
Kiersten…Because you learn about fun stuff and that’s all.
Q…What kinds of things do you learn about?
Kiersten…God.
Kiersten…I took a picture of the bank. I didn’t get all of it. I got the side of it.
Q…Why did you take a picture of the bank?
Kiersten…Because it has lots of money!
Q…Why do you like money so much?
Kiersten…Because it gets you rich.
Q…What can you do if you are rich?
Kiersten…Buy everything!
