IMG_9989Hello!

My name is Nick Bailey. I amĀ an sophomore International Business & Management major from Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. This semester, I am very excited to have the chance to participate in the Eco-E Path Mosaic!

I was motivated to apply and join the mosaic immediately upon learning about it nearly a year ago at an Idea Fund meeting. I’m really interested in innovation, change-making, and sustainability, so a program in sustainable entrepreneurship seemed right up my alley. This semester, I’m excited to challenged about my understanding of entrepreneurship. I hold as a core belief that business can be used for good and that entrepreneurship is the framework we’ve looking for to tackle the massive problems of the 21st century and beyond. Global Climate Change, Population Growth, and the shear ubiquity of Global Poverty are problems that our generation is staring down, and I think that the key to finding and implementing solutions is creativity, innovation, and probably a lot of coffee. That said, I think it will take artists, engineers, designers, architects, financiers, doctors, and teachers, all entrepreneurs in their own right, to find these solutions, and I just hope there’s a place for me in all of that!

I’m really looking forward to blogging this semester about our trip and more. As I’m sure you can tell, I’m incredibly passionate about this topic, and I can’t wait to share my experience.
